What do your appointments and ultrasounds cost?

As a nonprofit organization, all appointments and services at Life Choices are provided at no cost. You also do not need to have insurance. We serve all women in need of pregnancy support.

You can schedule your initial pregnancy confirmation appointment before or after an at-home positive pregnancy test.

We’ll provide free pregnancy testing as a part of the appointment. We’d recommend scheduling the appointment 1 to 2 days after your missed period.

If you have already had a positive pregnancy test result, you can schedule at any time.

We provide limited OB ultrasound scans to women who receive positive pregnancy tests during their initial pregnancy appointments. During your appointment, we’ll evaluate whether an ultrasound at Life Choices is the next best medical step.

If you’re experiencing a potential complication like bleeding or are later in pregnancy, we may refer you to a different healthcare provider for a more thorough diagnostic evaluation.

Yes! If bringing someone with you makes you feel more comfortable, don’t hesitate to invite them to your appointment.

An ultrasound will provide essential details to protect your health and safety, such as how far along you are (which matters for laws and procedure types), the location of your pregnancy (to rule out ectopic pregnancy), and to verify your pregnancy is progressing with a heartbeat.

All of these play a role in safeguarding your health.

All we require is a form of photo identification, such as a school-issued ID or a driver’s license. This is to verify your information and ensure your file is accurate.

You do not need to prepare for an ultrasound at Life Choices.

However, drinking water 30-60 minutes beforehand can improve the imagery, especially early in pregnancy.
