If the thought of pregnancy is taking your breath away or you don’t know what to do next, you’ve come to the right place. We support women in all walks of life, from every imaginable background.
Since our founding in 1984, we’ve helped women through their unique pregnancy situations, and we can help you, too. Here’s how.
Start By Confirming Your Pregnancy
You may have experienced some of the following pregnancy signs and symptoms:
- Missed period
- Light vaginal bleeding or spotting
- Breast changes or tenderness
- Morning sickness or nausea
- Increased urination
- Fatigue
- Mood swings
- Food cravings or aversions
- Cramping or bloating
- Headaches or backaches
- Constipation
- Smell sensitivity
- Heartburn
- Nasal congestion
- Increased heartbeat
Experiencing these symptoms isn’t enough to confirm you’re pregnant. First, a pregnancy test will tell you whether the hormone hCG is present in your urine. If you haven’t taken one yet, wait at least one to two days after your missed period.
A positive pregnancy test indicates that the hormone hCG is present and you could be pregnant, but more details are still needed.
To confirm a viable, progressing pregnancy within your uterus, we offer free pregnancy testing and a limited OB ultrasound.
At your first appointment, we can determine whether your initial pregnancy test is positive and assess whether an ultrasound is the best next step to provide essential health information that will inform your available options.
Talk with Someone Who Cares
Often, women visit us after a positive pregnancy test because they need someone neutral to talk with about their situation. They haven’t told their family or friends yet and want to share what they are going through in a safe and confidential setting.
You are welcome to come for this reason as well. Our team is passionate about supporting women during pregnancy and loves listening to and serving you.
We can also provide information on every option, so you’re aware of all the paths forward and the different resources and programs available to you in the community.
